The Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA), formerly known as The National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS), strives to advance excellence in the screening profession. Recently, it has evolved from a national professional association to an international alliance of professional background screening firms. Background screening professionals across the globe now recognize PBSA as the source of industry standards and best practices.

We are thrilled to announce that Katie Kulp, Vice President of Operations and Compliance at Chane Solutions, has been elected to the PBSA Board of Directors. Katie has been in the background screening industry since 2006 and was introduced to PBSA shortly after. She’s been involved with the association for over a decade, most recently serving as Co-Chair of the Government Relations Committee, and is really looking forward to being a part of the Board of Directors.

During the next two years, Katie hopes to increase committee member participation to allow for greater association impact and enhance the benefits for member companies who obtain and maintain accreditation status. She is a strong advocate of PBSA’s current vision of becoming the trusted global authority for the screening profession.

In addition to Katie’s knowledge and experience, she brings a great deal of passion and energy to PBSA. We are confident that her unparalleled passion and energy is sure to keep the association organized and focused while creating an environment that values the opinions of others.

“I plan to contribute time, labor, perspective and commitment to the PBSA Board of Directors in an effort to realize the association’s goals and objectives,” said Katie when asked what she plans to contribute to the association.

The team at Chane Solutions is excited to see what Katie does in her time as a Board of Director and has no doubts that she will be a valuable asset to PBSA today and for years to come.
